We Are Gaming
SCUF Gaming | Campaign, Product
An incredibly successful global campaign needs a strong and passionate team to make it happen. Luckily this project had two creative teams working together to launch the first ever SCUF Gaming campaign.
With 12 adverts and 50 stills featuring influencers based around the world and huge sets, this was a vastly complex project.
The campaign was broken into a hero film called the Anthem, 3 short teaser films, 5 group films and 3 influencer films. Each video featured a script that was then translated into 5 languages.
Anthem.
The campaign film where everything comes together.
Quicks.
High-impact short films.
Groups.
For the passionate gamers; from FIFA to FPS, there’s a film for everyone.
Influencer.
These aren’t just gamers; in the eyes of their fans, they are heroes. Featuring some of the most influential gamers in the community, these films tell the story of personal struggle and perseverance.
The Process.
We Are Gaming
-
SCUF approached us with some pretty exciting video references for their Anthem project. As we discussed the project with them, we realised that their requirements were bigger than we first thought, and that this project needed to reach a range of audiences and regions, all for different reasons.
-
We worked tactically to maximise the budget and cover off all the different elements and deliverables, creating opportunities to capture content that could be used in more than one way. To help map out and visualise the project, we storyboarded everything. Every minor detail was thought out, draw out and scripted.
-
Our team moved between different locations over the course of 2 months to capture content with influencers and talent in football stadiums, sports fields, tunnels and homes. Some days we had up to 100 people on set to stage and capture massive gaming communities; other days we had a smaller run-and-gun crew.
-
Our post-production team were busy turning around edits within days of the shoot, finalising sound design, colour grade and translating each video into 4 languages with subtitles.
Behind the scenes of a war film? Nope.
Advert for gaming controller?
Yep.
This is more than just content.
